The Good Works of the Hospice of St Francis

I’ve been friends with the Hospice of St Francis for some years now.  Although conscious of their location in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, I think its only with further involvement that one becomes fully aware and appreciative of just how good the works of a Hospice can be  – most often sadly via a loved one, during illness.  In my case it was a result of joining WIBN (Women in Business Network) in 2008, as the group now holds its monthly meeting at the hHspice. Since then I lost a dear friend to cancer, whose final months and days were spent at the Hospice, so I now understand first hand how patient and family are cared for.

In 2012, the Hospice launched its Corporate Partner Network; a great way of gaining regular financial support and increasing awareness of its own aims but also helping local businesses raise their profile within the community.  There are a number of ways in which companies can support the Hospice, a sure sign of their proactivity!  Just click on the link to find out more: www.stfrancis.org.uk/company or become a Partner by clicking on the ‘Join Now’ button and help to make a difference.

To date, Yellow Yoyo have been part of the Midnight Walk many times, and love the event for its atmosphere and fun, alongside it’s great message. We’ll be supporting again this year on 28 June, with our mission being to promote the Corporate Partner Network by assembling an enthusiastic CPN team.  You too can register your interest by emailing fundraising@stfrancis.org.uk with your name, email address and contact number, or by calling them direct on tel: 01442 869555.
