Who would have thought, given the Suffragette movement in the early 20th Century, that we would still have so much enthusiasm for female-only businesses in seemingly traditional alpha-male enterprise!
Meet Emma Hall, painter and decorator, based in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. Emma established her business in 2001, following a very mixed bag career of foreign travel, import/export and bar work. She’s mainly self-taught, and her love of colour and design enabled her to develop a hobby into a successful and profitable business. Emma now provides her clients with a unique blend of decorating services and furniture refurbishments, with a female touch, of course!
Bryan and I first met Emma last year, when she joined our BNI networking chapter and we are in the process of re-defining her brand.
“Amanda has consolidated my activity into one neat little box”, said Emma. “I originally designed my own logo and brand, but that’s not my skillset and it always felt a little disjointed as a result. I love what Yellow Yoyo have done for me, it’s really bought it all together and a fabulous representation of who I am and what I do”.
Below you can find examples of our sketches and design concepts for Emma along with her final business card design and flyer. Look out for her new website due to replace the current holding page in February. In the meantime, you can contact Emma on 07764 586632.
As with Whittington’s Tea Barge, its lovely doing something so design-led.
